Our Process

How We Deliver Every Project

From first conversation to final handover — a structured, transparent process that ensures quality at every stage.

1
Consultation & Site Survey

We begin by listening — understanding your requirements, visiting the site, assessing your existing infrastructure, and clarifying your goals, timeline, and budget before any commitment is made.

2
Engineering Design

Our engineers produce full electrical drawings, load calculations, single-line diagrams, and material specifications — ensuring compliance with EPRA and Kenya Power standards from the outset.

3
Transparent Quotation

You receive a clear, itemised bill of quantities with no hidden costs. We walk you through every line, answer your questions, and adjust the scope to fit your needs — no pressure, no surprises.

4
Installation & Execution

Our certified, experienced team executes the work safely and efficiently — adhering to all HSE protocols, maintaining a clean site, and delivering to the agreed schedule and specification.

5
Testing & Commissioning

Before handover, every installation is rigorously tested and inspected to verify it meets design specifications. We carry out insulation resistance tests, continuity checks, and load tests.

6
Handover & Ongoing Support

We hand over with full as-built documentation, warranties, and a walk-through of your system. Our team remains available for maintenance, emergencies, and future upgrades — long after the job is done.

How long does a typical solar installation take?
Small residential systems typically take 2–4 days from delivery to commissioning. Larger commercial projects depend on scope, site complexity, and regulatory approvals — we provide a project timeline at quotation stage.
Do you provide warranties and maintenance contracts?
Yes — we provide manufacturer warranties on panels and inverters plus our own workmanship warranty on all installations. We also offer flexible Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) covering scheduled servicing, emergency call-outs, and fault diagnosis.
How much does a solar system cost?
Costs vary by system size, component brands, site complexity, and type (on-grid, off-grid, hybrid). Use our solar calculator for a quick estimate, or contact us for a free site assessment and no-obligation quotation.
Do you offer financing or payment plans?
We can direct you to trusted financing partners and are open to discussing staged payment options for larger projects. Speak to our team at quotation stage to explore what works for your budget.
Will shading affect my solar system's performance?
Shading can significantly reduce output. We perform detailed site surveys to assess shading at different times of day and year, then advise on optimal panel placement, string design, or microinverter/optimiser solutions to minimise losses.
Are you registered with EPRA and NCA?
Yes. KITRAC Engineering Solutions Limited is fully registered with the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) and the National Construction Authority (NCA). All our engineers hold recognised professional qualifications and all work is done to regulatory standard.
